Strawberryliscious Jam
Ingredients

  • Canning jar holder tongs
  • 1/2 cup Real Lemon Juice
  • Small saucepan
  • 1 pkg Sure Jell
  • 6-8 Qt Saucepan
  • 1 Box Sure Jell
  • Hand Held Potato Masher
  • 7 cups sugar
  • 1 Waterbath Canner
  • 4 Pints strawberries
  • 1/2 Tsp Butter
  • Canning Jars, caps and lids

Directions

Bring canner half-full of water to simmer.
Wash jars and lids, set aside, store lids in hot water.
Wash Strawberries and discard stems.
Crush Strawberries with Potato Masher.
Place 5 Cups Smashed Strawberries in large saucepan.
Remove 1/2 cup into a small saucepan.
Add butter and Sure Jell, bring to boil.
Add back into large pot of Strawberries.
Bring mixture to full rolling boil, on high heat.
Stirring constantly.
Stir in sugar, stirring.
Bring back up to full-rolling boil, stirring.
Boil exactly one minute, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Fill jars, stir slightly removing bubbles.
Wipe rims to remove any fruit or juice.
Cap jars with rims and bands.
Place in Canner
Water should be 2 inches above jar tops.
Add boiling water if needed.
Bring water to gentle boil, boil (process) 10 minutes.
Remove jars, place close together on cloth or wood to cool. No-no! Don't disturb till cooled!
Let stand 24 hours.
Remove bands, wash jars.

Send 1 (or more) jars of jam to Oshel Administrators.
